How can you run faster? How can you lose some weight? There is one basic answer that will accomplish all of these goals.
Words mean something. Words are important. Words have meanings, and can impact your life. Your words tell people a lot about you. Your words can help or hurt someone. Even the way that you say them is important. Your attitude lets others know what you really mean.
But your actions are even more important. Plans and goals are good. But must you must follow through.
There are many books written on how to lose weight. There are many books written on how to play ball. There are books written on ways to run faster.
But the true way to reach those goals involves action. The Braves have some talented young players. But those players must listen to the coaches, and practice those techniques. It is hard work. If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.
To run faster you can do sprints, and lift weights, and do some other things like that. But you still need to get out and run, and do the miles.
They say talk is cheap. That means anybody can have dreams, and tell you what they are going to do. All teams tell you that they are going to win the World Series at the start of the season, but the actions must match the words.
So too, you can have dreams, and set goals, but your actions need to support what you say.
If it is sports, or school, or church, or friends you need to put to work your knowledge with your actions to show others what you can really do. The winners are those willing to do the work and practice. Is that You?
